One day event training workshops.
ETA delivered its first in-house one-day workshop on event project planning at Sanitarium Health and Well Being Australia on the 15th January 2019.
The workshop, attended by 25 staff, sought to overview the event management process and to provide opportunities for participants to engage in a number of practical exercises designed to explore how the process operates.
The workshop dealt with:
- event planning and delivery tools;
- developing event concepts;
- event programming;
- event production and theming;
- venue selection, layout and design;
- event budgeting;
- event risk management; and
- sustainable event management.
The resulting positive feedback on the course was such that ETA has decided to add the workshop to its suite of event management courses from April 2019 when it will be offered on a request basis.
About Event Training Australia
Event Training Australia (ETA) has its origins in the recently closed Australian Event Award-winning Australian Centre for Event Management (ACEM), University of Technology, Sydney.
We now run intensive 4-day event management courses and on-demand, 1 and 2 day workshops in Brisbane, Melbourne, Perth, Sydney, Singapore and Malaysia (KL).
ETA was established to continue, and build upon, ACEM’s event training and education legacy. As such, ETA draws on over 20 years of experience in the development of innovative practice-based education and training programs in the event management field. These programs span one-day workshops to Masters level university courses. ETA’s understanding of ‘best practice’ event management is further reflected in its founder’s (Dr Rob Harris) co-authoring of the widely used texts and handbooks – Festival and Special Event Management, Event Management and the Regional Event Management Handbook.
